Each of the songs on Celtic Heartbeat Christmas is a small gem, from the wistfully balladic "Winter, Fire and Snow" by Benita Hill to Cormac Breatnach's lilting whistle on "Oiche Nollaig (Christmas Eve)" and Celtia's lucid, beautiful welcome to the season with "Christmas Pipes." Christmas albums always have replay value when the season returns again, and this one well deserves a fond place in listeners' holiday collections. Highly recommended, both as Celtic music and as a Christmas album.
