AllMusic Review by

This LP contains performances by Charlie Barnet's Orchestra that were originally broadcast on the radio. There are eight songs (most never recorded) from his 1944-45 band featuring high-note trumpeter Al Killian among the star sideman, but it is the remaining four selections that are of greatest interest. Taken from 1949 when his band was very bop-oriented, these songs find Barnet's trumpet section comprised of Rolf Ericson, John Howell and three great screamers: Doc Severinson, Ray Wetzel and Maynard Ferguson. This rare LP is well worth acquiring.
