The Rascals

I'd Like to Take You Home

Composed by Felix Cavaliere

Song Review by

One of the few direct love ballads from the Rascals during this heavy period, "I'd Like to Take You Home" is also one of the final recordings that include the original band (including Eddie Brigati). To that end, it showcased the awesome, soulful vocal blend that Brigati brought to the band. In terms of feel, it's not too different from the looping, easy feel of songs such as "God Only Knows." In fact, the theme of domestic bliss mirrors that great Beach Boys record with a fine, soulful style.
