The Space Between
Purveyors of atmospheric indie pop, Tiny Fireflies is a collaboration between Chicago lo-fi songwriter/musicians and Very Truly Yours bandmates Kristine Capua (aka Tiny Microphone) and Lisle Mitnik (aka Fireflies). With Capua on vocals, they released a somber eponymous EP in 2010 that included a movingly murky version of the Skeeter Davis hit "The End of the World." A year later they followed up with the EP Change, and the stand-alone single "Picture Perfect" arrived in 2012. Written by Capua and produced by Mitnik with Ian Catt (Saint Etienne, the School), the band's still melancholy but synth poppier full-length debut, The Space Between, was issued in late 2015.
