Philadelphia singer/songwriter Tim Bowen first came onto the music scene via local garage rockers the Boneheads in the '70s and has subsequently opened shows for such respected artists as the B-52's, Brian Setzer, Nico, and Madness, among others. After a period of reassessment in Rome, Bowen returned to the U.S., signed on with the independent Falling Crow label, and issued his solo debut, Variety (credited to Tim Bowen & the Crystal Ball Breakers). Like most singer/songwriters, Bowen possesses a knack for penning lyrics that explore the ups and downs of everyday life. In addition to music, Bowen is a painter, as evidenced by his artwork on the www.inliquid.com website.
