Hailing from the southern most tip of Illinois, the community of Galesburg first heard the garage noise of the Resinators in 1990. Following in the footsteps of the Stooges, the Cramps, the Sonics, the Ramones, and the MC5, the quintet of Ed Young (vocals/guitar), Tom Sparrow (drums), Rob Streibich (guitar), Jeff Wilson (bass), and Stevo (guitar) played a handful of shows throughout the Midwest before disbanding in 1992. Eventually reforming five years later with guitarist TJ O'Brian filling in for Stevo, the Resinators would share the stage with the New Bomb Turks, Splash 4, the Makers, and the Quadrajets before releasing their self-titled mini-album in 1998.
