The Steve Brown Sound is probably the only rock and based out of both Glasgow, Scotland and Budapest, Hungary, but that might not be true for long with the expanding options for jumping around in the new European union. The group picked up a bit of a cult following with the hilarious "Obviously Elvis" single that came out of Budapest in the late '90s. Brown has continued his more than slightly satiric creations with a full album, produced lo-fi syle on his home four-track machine in Glasgow. This set's track entitled "Polythene Bark" joins the list of recordings that feature live performances by animals, in this case a barking solo delivered by Brown's pooch Arlo--no relation to Arlo Guthrie except for a few of the pitches the dog lands on. The album was released under the artist name of Solitary Brown Sound.
