Delivering experimental rock creations through vanguard guitar melodies, Slot Racer ultimately disclose sparkling tunes of catchy alternative selections through refined instrumental assortments. Assembling in 1998 in Atlanta, GA, Slot Racer first began as a duo, with Jason Dove (guitar, vocals) and Michael Griffeth (drums). After a few months of rehearsals, the duo decided it was time to record their first set of songs. Counting on the help of Edward Rawls (bass), who later joined the crew, Racer prepared to release their debut disc. However, after a series of peculiar incidents, including the disappearance of the original tapes, the team indefinitely postponed the release of the record. It was only in 2000 that the group reunited with its founding duo and bassist Jeff Holt, who substituted for Rawls. The group then started gaining a considerable fan base, not only in the U.S., but also in Japan and Europe, before deciding to enter the studio once more to prepare their first full-length.
