Artist Biography by

Ned Simpson is a freelance writer living in New York City. Growing up in sunny Arizona he discovered the joys of writing and music and air conditioning. And all it took was attending three state universities and working at seven record stores. He's been a regular contributor to local music scenes from coast to coast. In Arizona he was kicked out of a forgotten punk rock band, edited a music and arts journal, and hosted a free-form jazz radio program. While living in Chicago he promoted a free jazz workshop. As a New Yorker, he writes for gigmania.com and occasionally toils as a roadie for Williamsburg, Brooklyn's own Martin's Folly. The subject of the documentary Vinyl Junkie, his mounting record collection has been called a problem by parents, movers, and girlfriends alike. To Ned, it's a passion. ~ Ned Simpson
