b. USA. For several years Hamilton was a member of the vocal group the Ritz, with whom she appeared at numerous venues and on several recording sessions, including 1988’s Movin’ Up, 1989’s Flying and 1991’s Almost Blue, all for Denon Records. She has also recorded with Tom Hoffmann (Feeling Better And Better), Byron Taylor (Castle Of Dreams), as well as jazz trumpeter Doc Cheatham and guitarist David Bromberg. Based in New York City in the early 00s, Hamilton has performed at international jazz festivals, concert halls and nightclubs. Technically accomplished, she displays a thoughtful and always interesting approach to the songs she chooses to sing. In addition to singing, she also studied classical flute.
