Born in 1951, Mark Allan is developing historic perspective personally. A baby boomer, his musical tastes nonetheless extend past both sides of the '60s. He first got to love music by listening to a great radio station in his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, back when FM still played music outside narrow formats. He's lived among the towering peaks, rushing rivers and mighty forests of B.C. all his life. After working in radio as a DJ, newscaster and sportscaster, Mark worked as a daily newspaper sports reporter, sports editor and city editor. He's currently in Prince George, B.C., trying to make it as a freelance writer to support his wife Brenda and two basset hounds (no kids). Mark is crazy about his Little Brother Jeremy, spicy food, cold ale, Sherlock Holmes, squash, baseball, hockey and live theatre.
