Latin singer Jody Farias became involved in the regional Mexican music scene when he joined Increible, a band from Karnes County, TX. Increible formed in 1995, composed of singer/accordionist Ram Serna, bassist Alí Garza, and percussionist Manuel Aguero. After signing up to Freddie Records, their debut album was released in March 1996. That album was followed by Quiero Estar Contigo, which featured the hit single "Enamorado De Ti." Ni Una Lágrima was released a year later. After issuing 1998's Como Un Huracan and 1999's Confia En Mi, Jody Farias teamed up with the legendary Ramón Ayala, covering the Mexican classic "La Calandria."
