Muddy Waters' band boasted quite a run of harmonica wizards. Jerry Portnoy was one of the last, joining in 1974 and appearing on several of the legend's latter-day Blue Sky LPs. In 1990, Waters' entire band quit, most of them going out on their own as The Legendary Blues Band. In 1991, Portnoy and his own combo, The Streamliners, cut their debut disc, Poison Kisses, for Modern Blues Recordings.
