Former University of Idaho music students Cameron Bouiss, Eric Gilbert, and Lisa Simpson began working together in 2000. Eventually taking on the group moniker Finn Riggins, they relocated to Sun Valley to focus on their music in 2006, and paid their dues -- and built their support base -- through extensive national touring over the next few years. In 2007, signed to the Tender Loving Empire label, Finn Riggins released their first full-length offering, A Soldier, a Saint, an Ocean Explorer, to a warm reception, both critically and with the indie music-buying public. Further touring, even more extensive this time around, consolidated the trio's position, and in 2009, now centered in Boise, Finn Riggins released album number two, Vs. Wilderness. The band remained on the road in 2010, having just completed a western U.S. tour with Built to Spill.
