b. Andrew Ellison, 5 July 1946, Leatherhead, Surrey, England. Ellison has had a varied musical career. He began as a solo singer in the early 60s but later worked with John’s Children, Jet and eventually late 70s quirky pop band the Radio Stars. In all he released three solo singles for three different labels in the late 60s - ‘It’s Been A Long Time’ (Track), ‘Fool From Upper Eden’ (CBS Records) and ‘You Can’t Do That’ (S.N.B.). None breached the charts or sold in substantial quantities, although each has become a collector’s item owing to Ellison’s subsequent musical activities. In the 90s Ellison was involved in a re-formation of the ever-popular John’s Children.
