Saxophonist Eddie M. is a former member of Prince & the Revolution and has also worked with such other renowned artists as Sheila E, Paula Abdul, and Stevie Nicks. Although the aforementioned artists are rock and pop oriented, Eddie M.'s solo releases thus far have been quite musically varied affairs -- 1997's Hold Me, 1998's Ward Street, and 2001's self-titled album have contained ballads, up-tempo funk, and R&B numbers. The latter release features guest appearances by Eric Benet (whom Eddie M. tours and records with on a regular basis) and Karyn White. In addition to his studio work, Eddie M. has toured with Teena Marie, LeVert, and After 7, and was also a member of the house band on the short-lived late-'90s TV Show The Magic Johnson Hour.
