Formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, this band recorded a demo in late 1999. After recording the demo, a full-length studio album was released in 2000 on Team Jaybird Records. The album received some local praise for its aggressive sound and Dead Serious earned praise for a energetic live show. After touring, the band returned to the studio to record another demo. Thorp Records liked what the group had to offer and signed Dead Serious. In 2001, the group released a split with Diehard Youth. In 2002, It's What You Can't See was released. The band has toured across America and have been compared to S.O.D., Good Riddance, Turning Point and Side By Side.
