A native and resident of Southern California, Curtis Fornadley (who goes by his first name professionally) is a guitar-playing instrumentalist along the lines of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. Occasionally Fornadley sings, but he is an instrumentalist first and foremost. The guitarist, who lives in the Los Angeles area, had been playing the L.A./Hollywood club scene extensively when, in 1997, he produced his debut album Curtis. It was released on the If6Was9 label in early 1998; Fornadley, whose mother Aina Fornadley died of cancer, planned to donate half of the CD's profits to cancer-related charities.
