Indie rock band Cold Memory came together in late 2000 after the demise of Lost Beat Heroes, its predecessor, and debuted not long after on Rev Up Records. Comprised of childhood friends, Lost Beat Heroes originally came together in the small town of Blue Point on Long Island, New York, and played together for many years. When the band broke up in late 2000, the remaining members became Cold Memory: guitarist/vocalist Dan Malossi, guitarist Dave Siegel, bassist Todd Pascarella, and drummer Travis Harrison. The quartet began with simple acoustic sets at local bars and quickly built up a wealth of new songs, which eventually became Damage/No Damage, the band's debut album. Rev Up Records released the album in 2002, and Cold Memory embarked on a tour that stretched all the way from Detroit and Las Vegas back to New York.
