After rehearsing for one year, Venezuelan foursome Boom debuted with the release of El Grupo Musical de Asi Es la Vida. The album was based on a successful Latin soap opera and featured the hit single "Enamorada." Franky (born Miguel Hernández Fiore), Alberto (born Jesús Alberto Quintero Roa), Michell (born Humberto Miguel Terant Rodríguez), and Alexander (born Alejandro José Gil Díaz) became a teen pop sensation while climbing music charts with their catchy style, a combination of pop/rock and Latin rhythms such as salsa and merengue. Me Gusta -- That's the Way followed two years later, including a Spanish-language version of KC and the Sunshine Band's "That's the Way (I Like It)."
