This one-off electronic project was inaugurated by Vince Clarke (b. Vincent John Martin, 3 July 1960, South Woodford, London, England), former synthesizers and keyboard player in Depeche Mode and Yazoo, and ex-Undertones singer Feargal Sharkey (b. Sean Feargal Sharkey, 13 August 1958, Londonderry, Northern Ireland). The resulting single, ‘Never Never’, reached the UK number 4 position in late 1983. No album was ever recorded by the duo. After many similar liaisons with Neil Arthur of Blancmange, The The’s Matt Johnson and Paul Quinn of Orange Juice, Clarke found a stable rapport with Andy Bell in Erasure, while Sharkey departed for the USA and a solo career.
