After releasing its first single, called "Ihr Said So Leise," the German duo Aquagen achieved its first gold record and nominations for the ECHO 2000 and VIVA Comet 2000 awards. "Partyalarm" and "Tanz Fur Mich" anticipated Aquagen's debut album Abgehfaktor. However, the group's international breakthrough came in 2002 after issuing a remixed version of Chicago's "Hard to Say I'm Sorry," which became the highest new entry in the German DJ play list. In addition, DJ/producers Gino Montesano and Olaf Diekmann delivered a ten-track record titled Weekender.
