A duo formed by disc jockeys John Amatiello and Kristian Lundin in Sweden in 1992, Amadin additionally feature the rapping skills of ‘Swing’ (b. USA). Their debut single, ‘Alrabaiye Take Me Up’, was based on the Arabic phraseology for ‘Come, follow’, and incorporated an Eastern-influenced musical platform with prominent dance music beats. The idea for Amadin was fermented when the two principal songwriters met as disc jockeys and agreed to work together writing jingles for a radio station they intended to start. They were immediately noticed by Euro-dance star Dr. Alban, who signed them to his own Dr. Records label (through Cherion Records).
