This is the most generous of the entire Rhino Tiffany Transcription series on Bob Wills, with 22 tracks. Wills and his band are, indeed, heavily featured on occasional solos, but the focus of the original recordings was the McKinney Sisters, a duo who featured some of the sweetest yodeling ever recorded on their performances, around excellent harmony singing. Wills and his band seemed to rise to the occasion, reigning in their wilder impulses without sacrificing spontaneity in working with the golden voiced sister duo; the ballads are where they excel, but they could bop their way through dance numbers like "It's All Over Now" just as easily, and the mix makes for one of the strongest entries in this series, albeit one with Wills and company sharing the spotlight. The fidelity is, as with the rest of this series, good to excellent.
