This hard-to-find collector's LP has 16 previously unreleased studio recordings by Harry James with his orchestra (mostly "new" alternate takes). Highlights include a stomping version of "Willow Weep for Me," "Jeffrie's Blues," "Sharp as a Tack," two versions of "Record Session," "B-19" and "Crazy Rhythm." The music is from 1939 and 1941-42 and puts the emphasis on swing although there are a few vocals from Frank Sinatra, Jack Palmer and Dick Haymes. This will be a difficult record to locate but Harry James fanatics will certainly enjoy it.
