AllMusic Review by

Even if the Bellevue label's extensive series of '80s-themed compilations contained all original recordings, it would not be recommendable. Regardless of price, the selections are too arbitrary, and many of the tracks originate from other decades. Casual fans of '80s music might not recognize several titles. Among the more popular songs present here in some form: Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy," Level 42's "Running in the Family," Rose Royce's "Magic Touch," Color Me Badd's "All 4 Love" (Color Me Badd didn't even debut in the '80s), and Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing." As indicated on the back of the package, some of the versions here are re-recordings.
