AllMusic Review by

On Superscope, Dirt Bike Annie combines a wall of guitar power chords, catchy grooves, and girl-boy harmonies to make for some wash-over-you, summertime, feel-good indie pop. "Celia First" tackles indie rock stardom head-on, heart pinned to sleeve. The band sings, "All aboard/One in four/You're Lourdes, I'm a dinosaur/Peavey guitar and indie star/I said, 'You're on your way'/ Come on Celia/ You're super-size, straining my eyes, I try to stay alert/Come on Celia/You're angel wings and silver strings and Lafayette Math Club shirts." And that just might be the best description of Dirt Bike Annie -- a Big Gulp serving of angels and guys in thrift store shirts on their way to indie kid bliss.
