Kenny Chesney was just hitting his stride as a country superstar and hitmaker when this brief collection of early hits was released in November of 2007, part of the Sony BMG Special Markets Super Hits series. The Super Hits CDs were marketed mainly at general shopping stores, drug stores, and gas stations at budget prices, directed at buyers who just wanted a few of the radio hits by a given artist. The CD did well enough to peak just outside the Top 50 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart in the spring of 2009.
