Unlike Volume One of the Soulful Love Duets series, this features duets from the '70s and '80s. Whether you like this as much or more than the first installment depends on your taste in soul -- this collection is, as you'd expect, much sweeter and more "urban contemporary" in feel. The '60s performances on Volume One beat the ones on this sequel hands down, but if you want some sentimental quiet storm and soul, this will do the trick. Includes huge R&B hits by the tandems of Jerry Butler & Brenda Lee Eager, Natalie Cole & Peabo Bryson, Billy Preston & Syreeta, Aretha Franklin & George Benson, and Melba Moore & Freddie Jackson, as well as lesser-known selections.
