Nino Segarra's first effort with Copa records retains his original style, and maintains his usual romantic flair. However, his arranging skills have not flagged as he continues to demonstrates his utmost skill and musicality; he continues to wear a songwriting hat as well in songs like "Digan Lo Que Digan" and "Porque Tu." He also implements the services of talents like arranger Guillermo Calderón, Luis "Perico" Ortiz, and Ernesto Sánchez for expansions of Segarra's musical vision. One of the joys of this production is a medley of boleros that made the late Felipe Pirela a household name, and Segarra puts his very personal stamp. This excellent Segarra production stands out, as usual.
