Although best known for its neo-swing sound, Cherry Poppin' Daddies have long incorporated other styles from '60s soul to '70s glitter rock to ska into their music. 2009's Skaboy JFK: The Skankin' Hits of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies is a compilation of the Daddies' high-energy ska-leaning material. In that sense, the collection works as a companion album of sorts to the Daddies' 1997 swing comp Zoot Suit Riot. Included on Skaboy JFK are such tunes as the title track, "Soul Cadillac," "Cosa Nostra," and others. The band also re-recorded three songs especially for inclusion on Skaboy JFK.
