These four pieces come from the Kraton Yogya, the older of Yogyakarta's palaces. All are played in the "loud" manner that epitomizes Yogya style. The equivalent of gendhing bonang in Solo, they use the gamelan's drums and bronze instruments without strings, flutes or singers. Recorded in the early ‘70s, the pieces are "Dirada Meta, "Lintang Kaahinan", Taliwangsa" and "Tunjung Anom."
