Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz are now in the second half of the '70s with this supercharged production. Incredibly, their two-trumpet conjunto does not sound outdated and continues as forcefully as ever. "Juan en la Ciudad" and "Vanidades de Vanidades" are messages with a tinge of sacred commitment, without missing a beat on the excitement level. Other tunes like "Algo Diferente," "Nadie Se Acuerda de TI," "Cosas Bellas," "Soy Tan Feliz," "El Pregonero," and "La Oportunidad" push the band to greater heights, as it evolves enormously and achieves its highest level of inventiveness during the decade's second half.
