AllMusic Review by

Queen Sarah Saturday's finest moments came shortly after their self-titled EP, when their combination of power pop and indie rock began to fit in with the Chapel Hill, NC scene and score minor hits like "Seems." The Queen Sarah Saturday EP, on the other hand, is a bit too mired in traditional Southern rock to truly make an impact. A few moments hint at the more inventive tones the group would have as their sound came into its own ("Peter's Bridge"), but the record as a whole is the sort of formative work most bands must go through while fine-tuning their approach.
