Violin virtuoso Ed Caner with his former Walk-Ins bandmate Tim Pevec teamed up with Jehova Waitresses drummer Jeffery Harmon to put this loud, crushing trio together back in 1995 and recorded this, its only released recording, Peacemeal. Caner's violin sounding like a screeching electric guitar and Pevec's guitar covering the range for both bass and rhythm guitar, this record maintains a heavy, sustained, driving sound not unlike Filter -- only weirder and with no vocals. The high point here is "Shaddai," a re-working of an old Walk-Ins tune, that's strange yet catchy melody carries over numerous textures and levels of intensity.
