AllMusic Review by

The 34th volume of the Now series, released in June 2010, features four number one singles: B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ on You,” Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” Usher’s “OMG,” and the Black Eyed Peas' “Imma Be.” A couple others reached the Top Ten, while most of the rock selections either didn’t come close or failed to hit the Hot 100. What’s more alarming is that the disc’s so-called “bonus track” portion, a feature of the 33rd volume as well, appears to be a running thing. Earlier volumes of the Now series contained around 20 hits and near hits. Vol. 34 contains 16 hits and near hits and four “bonus tracks,” with each bonus track contributor -- all of whom are new artists -- granted full-page promotion in the booklet. This means that Now That’s What I Call Music is 20 percent Tomorrow That’s What I Might Call Music.
