The group's second CD was its major breakthrough. The Sergio Villarreal-led group developed a grupera-lite style that featured echoing keyboards and Villarreal's delicate tenor. He composed all of the album's songs, showing a knack for melody on the disc's four cumbias and six ballads. Ballads "Mi Castigo" ("My Punishment"), "Tarde O Temprano" ("Sooner or Later"), and the title track won fans with simple but effective hooks that stuck in the brain. Villarreal sounds just a little too sensitive on the hit "Tú Me Quieres Lastimar" ("You Want to Hurt Me"), in which he whines for three minutes about his girlfriend not showing up at his birthday party.
