AllMusic Review by

After almost a decade, Genaside II's debut LP shows the duo allied to contemporary acts (like Headrillaz) sitting on the divergence which separated breakbeat techno from full-fledged drum'n'bass. Obviously a pair of mature producers, Phatz and Bonez recruited vocalists Rose Windross (from Soul II Soul) for some classic house flavor, Eek-A-Mouse and Killerman Archer for ragga attitude, and Wu-Tang's Cappadonna for an interesting hip-hop/breakbeat collaboration. Though the album also includes a version of their 1991 classic "Narramine," it strays surprisingly close to a bland listen, with few full-fledged ideas holding together the many vocal tracks.
