As the title suggests, More Sex & Soul offers more of what made Roy C's first album so good -- deep soul performed with a modern, early-'70s sensibility. The songs on More Sex & More Soul aren't quite as consistent as those on the debut, but there are still a number of terrific moments -- "From the Outside Looking In (He Used to Be My Friend)," "You Got Everything I Need," "Show Me Love, I'll Show You Pain," "Don't Let My Love Get Away," "I Want to Love You, Kiss and Hug You" and "Great, Great Grandson of a Slave" -- that make this necessary for fans of the first volume. Collectables' reissue includes the bonus tracks "Love Me Till Tomorrow Comes," "Virgin Girl," "Don't Stop Short of Satisfaction" and "Every Woman Has a Right."
