As on his previous All-Starr Band outing, Ringo Starr performs several of his better known songs, among them the Beatles chestnuts "Yellow Submarine" and "With a Little Help from My Friends," and then acts as M.C. as various bandmembers perform some of their own better-known songs. Returnee Joe Walsh once again sings an Eagles song he did not sing when it was a hit, "Desperado," while his bandmate Timothy B. Schmit delivers the Eagles' "I Can't Tell You Why." The band is top-heavy with guitarists: Dave Edmunds does "Girl Talk," and Todd Rundgren brings "Bang on the Drum," while keyboardist Burton Cummings relives the Guess Who with "American Woman." There are fewer All-Starrs and more tracks, so many get second chances. But the show, recorded June 13, 1992, at the Montreux Jazz Festival, is less impressive than the first one; even Ringo sounds a little less enthusiastic.
