Classic jazz-influenced and R&B vocals by a distinctive, infrequently recorded artist, Little Jimmy Scott. His diminutive size wasn't equaled by his voice; it was huge, and could offer sweeping, dramatic treatments one moment and aching, gripping ballads the next. These songs were done in the mid-'50s for Savoy, were later reissued on vinyl, and are now available on CD.
