AllMusic Review by

Beginning as a Beatlesque band out of Australia in the mid- to late '60s, the Bee Gees shifted in and out of stylistic phases as the decades went on until they put disco and the mid-'70s on the commercial map with the breakout soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, a transformation that was among the most amazing and unlikely in pop history. This set contains early material from the group, more baroque than ballroom bounce and bop, and includes the minor hit "Spicks & Specks."
