AllMusic Review by

With her deep voice and sensual phrasing, Juliette Greco became one of the lucky few musicians to establish the general stereotype of French pop music. The 26 songs here are from her golden period, when virtually every song she touched was a hit and she even developed a crossover appeal that resulted in her albums behind heard throughout Europe and North America. And this is definitely some of the prime examples in the genre, from the playful "C'Etait Bien" to the moody sensuality of "Strip-Tease." Her best material was penned by Serge Gainsbourg, and no fewer than nine of his compositions appear on this collection. Altogether, this is the best environment to enjoy her music in, and this collection does an excellent job of putting her best material onto one album.
