Emeli Sandé's session for iTunes is an eight-track release in which the singer is accompanied by either acoustic guitar or piano. Some fans might prefer these up-front versions of "Heaven," "Next to Me," and "Read All About It, Pt. 3" over the originals on Our Version of Events. Those who have seen her live should be thrilled to hear a studio version of Nina Simone's "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free," which is performed faithfully with power. Like Live at the Royal Albert Hall -- a bigger production, obviously -- this is a pleasing stopgap release as listeners await the singer and songwriter's second proper album.
