This is the seventh volume in the series that compiles recordings by artists who participated in the annual Los Angeles concert event. The reason La Invasion del Corrido is so popular is because it tends to focus on younger artists in the alternative corrido scene who've established large social media and YouTube presences but who have not yet broken through to the mainstream. This year's set is among the strongest to date, with tunes by Calibre 50, Remmy Valenzuela, Los Rodriguez de Sinaloa, Grupo 360, Proyecto X, Javier Rosas, and Enigma Norteño, just to name a few. Even if one has the singles by most of these acts, having them all put together in one place is a bonus, especially for the budget price tag.
