The second installment of Deep and Sexy offers more of the same deep grooves the first installment provided, but this time it's coming from Chicago house DJ Ron Trent instead of label owner François Kevorkian. Having been a DJ since the tender age of nine years old (a Guinness world record?), Trent cut his teeth on the mean streets of Chicago and DJed alongside the likes of Frankie Knuckles before he could even drive a car. And while this longevity has earned Trent legendary status over the past few decades, his formula for soulful deep house has stayed consistent as well. That said, Deep and Sexy, Vol. 2 is more of the same from Trent, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, either. Soft, jazzy chords from Fender Rhodes and Latin-glazed percussive tracks are the order of the day for the hour-plus excursion, including a stunning cover version of Stevie Wonder's "That Girl" from Matty Heilbronn.
