Paquito Guzmán and arranger/musical director Jorge Millet have crafted one of the singer's finest productions. Largely ignored in its time, this effort has remained virtually untouched by time, as many of the gems (originally recorded many years ago, by the seminal trio of Cheito Gonzalez') receive a virtual reworking through the means of a full-sized orchestra. Most of Cheito Quinonez' best-known hits are included: "Una Noche Más" (composed by Alfredo Sadel), "Viejo Parquesito," "Cristal," "Miénteme," "Comolas Margaritas," and "10 Lágrimas" receive deluxe treatment with Guzmán at the peak of his powers. Guest star Yomo Toro participated with Cheito Gonzalez in the 1950s. An amazing effort, done with wit and elegance.
