AllMusic Review by

Percy Humphrey, whose later recordings with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band tended to be quite erratic, is in generally good form on this LP made available through Delmark. Humphrey sounds inspired by the strong New Orleans jazz group (trombonist Jim Robinson, clarinetist Albert Burbank, banjoist George Guesnon, bassist Alcide Pavageau, and drummer Cie Frazier) and his renditions of "Climax Rag," "When I Grow Too Old to Dream," "Fidgety Feet," and even "Swanee River" and "Yes Sir, That's My Baby" are quite fun.
