You just can't get around this - there are plenty of keyboards on this recording. However, few recordings with such a preponderance of synthesizer manage to do so tastefully. The keyboards of Zoar are the woof of the tapestry, tying it together. This band should do soundtracks, if they haven't already. Zoar possesses a Herzog-Wenders magic for transporting to a very real, very surreal place. They also employ 'sample- scapes.' By that, I mean not just sound snippets referenced briefly, or soundbites repeated to a beat, but an aural pan shot of a situation overlaying the song like a multidimensional melody line. Music to kickstart that projector in your head.
