AllMusic Review by

The Macc Lads' second full-length LP should have been loudly dedicated to anybody who sneered condescendingly and insisted that it sounded exactly like its predecessor. Of course it sounds like its predecessor! What would be the point of a Macc Lads album that didn't? In truth, there's definitely a tougher edge to the guitars and arrangements here, an aggressive rumble that continues with exactly the same preoccupations as Beer Sex Chips 'n' Gravy, but is even further into your face as it does so. "Sit on me face, I'll guess your weight" is only the first of the refrains that will have grandma looking askance at your record player; "Julie the Schooly" ("she bangs like a shithouse door when the plague's in town") is just one more in a long line of manic thrashes that bring a new meaning to parental advisory warnings. The Macc Lads were never going to make it onto prime-time TV. But you wouldn't want them to. They're far more fun as they are.
